I want a man that gets a boner for justice...
I want to hold a man the way thirst holds water
Let every river envy our mouths

Moonage Daydream by Brett Morgen
The man of my dreams
Doesn’t exist, it seems
I may have impossibly
High standards
But I insist—
I want a man
That gets a boner for justice
Who doesn’t get off on
Violence and oppression
I want a man
Who respects all women
Strangers and sisters alike
Not just who he wants to fuck
I want a man
With a gentle heart
A sharp mind
A smaller dick
I want a man
Who doesn’t hold
My trans body against me
But loves every inch
I want to hold a man
The way thirst holds water
Let every river
Envy our mouths
I want to love a man
With primal passion
Let every touch
Baptize our bodies
Let every kiss
Hit our bodies like a season
We don’t need a rhyme or reason
The man of my dreams
Doesn’t need to have everything
But he needs to understand
A couple things:
Kindness is handsome
Empathy is hot
Self-awareness is sexy
Being a misogynistic prick
Isn’t
Let every man
Soften from clay
Accept they don’t have
All the answers
And the world doesn’t
Revolve around them
We’re all Atlas holding it
On our shoulders
When I send out
The silent whisper of a prayer,
“Please, I want someone kind
To love me.”
I hope he answers,
“I’ve been holding space for you.
You’re my kind of person.
I am here, love.”
