To My Very Kind and Considerate Friend

My only attempt thus far at writing a humorous poem.

Thank you for the bubblegum you gave me It was very…interesting I think I know why you gave it to me for free Really, it was considerate of you It had a truly unique flavor Quite unlike anything I've tasted before Experiencing your gum has made me all the braver Really, thanks for your thoughtful gift It should come with a warning label CAUTION: Will cause consumer to spew toxic fumes! Stand back or be at risk of being disabled Really, I think I should return the favor Thank you for the bubblegum you gave me The sharp tang of onion really blended well With the strong, pungent odor of garlic It had me wailing like a banshee— With gratitude, of course The bitter taste clung to my tongue for hours

Never mind the mother of all stomachaches—no matter! Such a neighborly deed must be repaid to the fullest extent So, here, try grass and liver!
