Many Loves Linger on My Lips

New shit for Valentine's!

They preach that God is love
And his love is infinite
Yet marriage must merge only
One man and One woman?
Daddy God is claiming and controlling
Enforces power with
Holy water-anointed lies
Not leather
He keeps a tight leash on us
A crushing collar spelling out
“CHILD OF GOD”
Jealously pursues and covets
Our hearts
I mean, hell, he’s three-in-one!
The Holy Trinity:
Daddy God, Foot Fetish Jesus,
And Gender Fluid Spirit
Now, that’s a gay triad!
All must submit or else face his/their wrath
What we would call a red flag in an ex
We romanticize and call holy
My first abusive lover(s) up on high
My love is infinite
I can commit to many
But not just to The One for eternity
I would feel chained
Restrained from the full spectrum
Of my emotions
I morally object to monogamy
Anxiety and jealousy can be a bitch
Let the pain show you
Where you still need healing
Then self-soothe
Instead of fanning the flames
I let them be my teacher
I’m not competing with
My partner’s partners
We’re collaborating to love
Our mutual lover
My metamours and I—
We’re all in this together
This isn’t a race or rivalry
The people I admire are so amazing
That why wouldn’t I want
Others to cherish them?
Their attention and where they invest it
Is not all about me
Love is sharing
People aren’t property
Ownership is not caring
Possession limits passionate expression
There’s no need for my lovers
To fight over my affection
I’ve got two hands to hold multiple hearts
Two eyes to regard you with tenderness
And them too
I’m not going to elevate them
To a pedestal higher than you
We’re all on equal footing
Romance and friendship can coexist
Let’s craft this relationship together
Add any ingredient we wish
Fluid affection that takes every form
Complete relationship anarchy
To rebel against hierarchy of desire
I can’t fit inside monogamy’s confines
I love the days where you’re all mine
But I’m not going to diminish your shine
Not going to crush you against me
So tightly that you see stars
If you need your space
I can watch you from afar
My telescope is unable
To capture your entire aura
Haloing around your head
But I adore how other angels uplift you
When you’re out of my sight
Our cups overflow
Our waters intermingling
And I love your enriched taste
The diverse flavors
That dance on my tongue
I hope to love as many people
As possible in my fleeting years
That I’m here
And not hold my lovers back
Free of constraints
Free of fear
Life is too short
Not to love who we love
And how many we love
Affection multiplies, not divides!
And many loves linger on my lips
